Sketch + Paint - Ages 7-11
Sketch + Paint is a class for young artists focusing on using sketch pencils, coloured pencils, art markers, watercolour and acrylic paints . Each class students will create a new art project which has structure but also allows them to be creative, have fun, and explore their unique identity through art. Students will learn sketching and drawing techniques and paint application to their artwork. Completed works will be created on canvas, sketchbook and specialty papers.
This program will help build confidence, motor skills, and social skills. Students will reflect positively on their art and engage in discussions with the class about their work. This course is led by a Paige, a gifted high school artist instructor who is attentive to every student and always encourages their uniqueness and creativity, while teaching important art concepts and techniques.
